Camilla wrote a sequel to How to Walk in High Heels, called A Girl For All Seasons. Another compilation of useless advice for the culturally challenged. The girls reading this book will learn how to be colloquially cultured. Cultured just enough to be considered average in intelligence, with no depth in bits of facts they extract from the book.
I say I’m not a girl for all seasons because I’m not. As soon as I start getting less Vitamin D, aka Sunny D, aka..warmth & sunshine, I am not a happy camper anymore. Feeling the tinge of the cold wind on my skin is enough to make me completely depressed. Gray skies don’t help. And the continually descending temperatures make me feel as if I am continually descending into hell. How to beat this mild (or severe, however you want to look at it) case of seasonal affective disorder? Perhaps book a flight to Cuba. But even then – you risk getting sick when coming back. I get a bad cold nearly every time I go south in the winter. It’s no fun. And on top of it, you have to come back to heaps of snow, miserable temperatures, work, school, and all the rest of it. Oh, and if you thought the temperature was cold when you left – wait until you get back! We won’t get a streak of sunshine until late April, if we’re lucky!
You know it’s funny. As I am typing this, my iTunes just played one of Janet Jackson’s interludes on Damita Jo, called The Islands. It’s basically her voice saying the following: “The islands. Mmm. Anguila, that’s my favorite. I love the islands. Um. That’s my escapism. They relax me. That ocean. The weather. I love humidity. I love the sand. I love the palm trees. I love curling up in a good book and relaxing right by the ocean.” With sounds of crashing waves in the background. It is soothing, I think. To sit there and read a book by the ocean. Relaxing. Ahhh….
I came to a point today where I really needed to relax. So I looked up “Yoga for geeks”. I came across their website. Although, it seems like you have to tune in every Friday at a certain time. I don’t like yoga. And I’m not a geek. But it seems like you have to really go through so many sites before finding a free one that guides you through relaxation. A tranquility zone kinda thing. Not available really…
Today’s hot purchase: a pink leather Billy Bag with black trim. It’s ohsoextremelycute!!! Billy Bag has cute stuff this season. Where they sell their stuff in Canada is beyond me.
My soothing song of the moment is London in the Rain by Stéphane Pompougnac. The video’s cute too, donc, ça va être inclu.
